BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Stephen Hawking, a unique brain.

Stephen Hawking, the man who was expected to live two or three more years at the most when he was 21, according to doctors, has passed away today, on π Day (Pi Day, pronouncing it like 'pie').

Hawking suffered from a rare early-onset, slow-progressing form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, known in Spanish as 'ELA') that gradually paralysed him over the decades. At the time of his death, he was still able to communicate using a single cheek muscle attached to a speech-generating device. Hawking has died today, 14th March 2018, at the age of 76.

And now 10 Amazing Facts about Pi.

But let's go back to Stephen Hawking and his big ideas >>>

  1. Stephen Hawking, a unique brain.
Stephen Hawking was a theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and British scientific popularizer. His most important works he did with Roger Penrose, and consisted in providing theorems regarding singularities. He was the head of the Lucasiana Chair of Mathematics from the University of Cambridge from 1979 until his retirement in 2009. I think that he was a very good person and liked by a lot of people. He was very clever

  2. Best of Big Bang Theory - "Stephen Hawking"
The Big Bang Theory it is the predominant cosmological model for the oldest known periods of the universe and its subsequent large-scale evolution. It Affirms that the universe was in a very high density state and then expanded. According to the Big Bang model, the universe expanded from an extremely dense and hot state and continues to expand to this day. This interested steven hawkings a lot he like very much looking at this to discover new things for the unviverse and what he thought about god.

  3. And now 10 Amazing Facts about Pi.
The number Pi is the relation between the length of a circle and its diameter in Euclidean geometry. It is an irrational number
and one of the most important mathematical constants. It is often used in mathematics, physics and engineering. I think this number is important but I do not understand a lot this number, it is very difficult.

  4. It is something incredible that Stephen Hawking will last much longer than expected (55 years) when doctors diagnosed him only 2 or 3 years more of life due to his illness.
Hawking was a brilliant mind in the world of the astrophysicist because he made the theory of the big bang, the theory of everything and black holes.
it seems something incredible that with all his theories and works for the physical star, he has not received any novel prize.

  7. Stephen William Hawking was a theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and British scientist. He was born the 8th January, 1942 and he died the 14th Mars, 2018, just a few days ago. His most important works were related to the universe, this is the main reason why he is so well known. He investigated much about the black holes of space and the Big Bang, doing big discoveries and becoming one of the most relevant persons ever.

When he was 21 years old, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This rare disease made Stephen's state worse over the years. Surprisingly, the doctors predicted that he would not live more than two or three years, however, he lived many more years, specifically 55 years. Over the years, his disability increased, he couldn't move his muscles and he couldn't speak because he couldn't open his mouth.

With the technological advance, Stephen Hawking could speak with a voice synthesizer that he controlled with small gestures of the face and eyes. Moreover, he was able to move with a wheelchair that he controlled with small gestures of the head. He used this chair for conferences with journalists or for important events.

From my point of view, Stephen William Hawking is a example of overcoming, in spite of his disease he has continued fighting against it and he has continued investigating new mysteries of the universe and space. This is a clear example that there is nor excuse or limit to reach your dream, if you struggle to achieve something, you will achieve it.

Hawking is probably the best-known physicist among the general public since the time of Einstein. This disease called ELA was diagnosed with 21 years and that was increasing its status over the years, until almost completely paralyzed. He had to communicate through a voice generating device. He was married twice and had three children.

The most important works focus on the universe. He has published a multitude of books, among which are: Brief history of time, Black holes and small universes and other essays and The universe in a nutshell.

In my opinion, Stephen Hawking is a man of improvement because he has a disease that hasn't prevented him from discovering incredible things. I believe that it's an example to follow.

  10. On March 14, 2018 The world lost the most recognized and great men that science has had: Stephen Hawking. In his 76 years of life not only struggled against a complicated disease, contributions to science and the theory of the universe were also made with a passion that is rarely found.

Stephen Hawking was a Ph.D. candidate in Cambridge when Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis was diagnosed, a disease that affected his motor functions. He married Jane Wilde, one he met shortly before becoming ill. With her he had three children, but they divorced in 1995 and both were married again.

Hawking has stood out mainly by its race by the sports that has carried out disciplines like the cosmology or the quantum gravity, mainly in the study of the black holes. In addition, it is one of the greatest scientific disseminators. In 1970 Hawking, along with his friend Roger Penrose, presented the results of his work in a mathematical model on the General Theory of Relativity Proposed by Albert Einstein. Another important contribution of Hawking's work was the research he did on the origin of the Universe. His theory holds that after the Big Bang multiple small black holes were formed in the Universe, and began to study its operation.

Hawking received 12 honorary doctorates, having been awarded the Order of the British Empire, the Medal of Freedom, the Copley and a Prince of Asturias Award.

  11. Stephen William Hawking was born on 8th January, 1941 (exactly 300 years after Galileo's death), in Oxford, England and he is said to have been the best physicist since Einstein. He enjoyed math and science in school where he earned the nickname "Einstein". He wanted to study math at university, but Oxford didn't have a math degree at the time, so he chose physics and chemistry instead. He enjoyed being a member of the school's boat club as well as classical music. After his graduation, he went to Cambridge to study for his PhD. Everything seemed to be going very well for him.

However, while Hawking was working on his PhD, he began to have health issues. He became very clumsy and he used to fall down without reason. After going through a series of tests, doctors discovered that he had a disease called ALS, which is a specific disease which causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles. This results in difficulty speaking, swallowing and eventually breathing. So doctors told him he only had a few years left to live.

Although Hawking was slightly depressed due to his diagnosis, he began to study and work harder and harder, as he wanted to earn his PhD before he died. Around the same time, he met and fell in love with a girl named Jane Wilde, who gave Hawking a reason to live.

But despite the fact that he was expected to live three more years at the most when he was 21, according to the initial grim diagnosis from his doctors, Hawking lived a full and productive life thanks to the advance of the science and medicine. He was in a wheelchair and couldn't talk, but he was able to communicate using a touch pad computer and a voice synthesizer. He finally died on the last 14th March, at the age of 76.

For me, Stephen Hawking is an example of overcoming. He never gave up, although he was told he had a few years to live. Finally, I'd like to add that I saw the film "The Theory of Everything" about two years ago and I loved it a lot, since for me it's most interesting to know how hard Hawking's life was. I reckon it's such a great film which will probably make you cry.

  13. Stephen Hawking was a physicist, considered to be one of the greatest scientists of all time. He was the first scientist to find the link that married the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, and also he has made a huge amount of contributions to our nowdays understanding of black holes.

Hawking has wrote some popular science books, but probably the most famous of them would be the bestseller A Brief History of Time.

Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 in Oxford, England, UK. His father was Frank Hawking, biologist; his mother was Isobel Walker, a Scottish Politics and Economics graduate; both of them were graduates of the University of Oxford. Stephen´s family was compound by two younger sisters and an adopted brother.

At school, Stephen was said to be an average student, but deeply interested in science.

In his first days at Cambridge, at age 21, Hawking was diagnosed with a motor neuron disease in which the nerves controlling the muscles become inactive while the sensory nerves function normally, by the way some years ago, like three or four years, there was a challenge, called ice bucket challenge, which consisted, that famous people threw theirselves very cold water to make this disease more known and help all the people who suffers from it. At first his doctors expected him to die in two years.

As I said, Hawking was most known for linking two very different fields: Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity and quantum theory.

At one time it was thought that absolutely nothing could escape from a black hole, but Hawking’s equations refuted that theory, producing an amazing result. In this equations Stephen said that black holes can lose energy, which means that they can disapear from the universe.

Hawking showed that if a Big Bang had happened and general relativity were true, then the universe must have grown from a point whose volume was zero, but which contained the entire mass of the universe, something very obvious, but nobody said that before him

Since 1986 Hawking has made use of an adaptive communication system including a speech synthesizer known as the Equalizer to combat ALS. Using the Equalizer, he authored books, scientific papers, and lectures.

To sum up, Hawking has became the most famous scientist of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, making appearances in TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons. The 2014 movie The Theory of Everything was a drama about Hawking’s life and work.

Stephen Hawking died peacefully, age 76, at home, on March 14, 2018, in Cambridge.

  14. Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two and died at the age of 73 on March 14, two thousand and eighteen, he was the most famous and popular theoretical physicist of our time.
Hawking entered the University of Cambridge in 1966 to study theoretical physics and complete the publication in 1965 of a PhD on the relativistic and quantum nature of the famous black holes.
The great success and popularity of Hawking did not come until the late eighties, when he published a book that quickly became a bestseller, entitled Brief History of Time.
This fame, which has reached a global level and which makes Hawking appear in newspapers, magazines and even on television, is not only due to the solidity of his theoretical works, but also to the paradoxical condition that his person presents: at twenty-three years was declared a paralyzing disease that has progressively reduced Hawking to a disability in a wheelchair, forcing himself to communicate with the outside by means of a computer specially designed for him; Although the doctors predicted a soon fatal outcome, Stephenle's enthusiasm and fighting skills have allowed her to continue working and developing studies beyond medical reasons and expectations.

At the beginning of his life, he wanted to study Mathematics at the University, but his father wanted him to study at University College, as at that time there was no math teacher who enrolled in natural sciences.

Hawking has worked on the basic laws that govern the universe showed that Einstein's general theory of relativity implies that space and time must have a beginning in the big bang and an end in black holes. One consequence of such unification that he discovered was that black holes were not entirely black, but could emit radiation and eventually evaporate and disappear. This would imply that the way the universe began is completely determined by the laws of science.

When Stephen Hawking was just 21 years old, he was diagnosed with a disease whose prognosis is very severe: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. People who suffer from this condition usually do not live more than two years, and if they do, only reach five. To everyone's surprise, it exceeded the expected time and although then was confined to a wheelchair, which in 1985 he had to add a smart computer system to communicate

In my opinion, Stephen Hawking was a person dedicated to science and new discoveries, although at an early age he was basically diagnosed with dying, he endured it more than anyone would have ever bet.

Stephen Hawking, The charismatic and largely responsible for the most important theories on black holes and quantum mechanics scientist,in 1963, during a session of ice skating, slipped and struggled to sit up and he has been suffering from a severe degenerative disease, as is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), for an exceptional time.

it is extremely interesting to know how Hawking has survived so many years compared to the vast majority of patients diagnosed with ALS.When Stephen Hawking was just 21 years old, he was diagnosed with a disease whose prognosis is very severe: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. People suffering from this condition usually do not live more than two years, and if so, only reach five.

In 1971 he suggested the formation, following the big bang, of numerous objects called "black mini-holes". His studies on black mini holes helped him combine the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. Hawking has also explored some singularities of space-time binomial.

To sum up, It is truly amazing that a person like Hawking, with such an active investigative life, has reached 72 years and will surely continue to enrich science with new theories about the complicated frameworks of the universe.

Unfortunately, while he was still a student, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," a degenerative disease of the nerve cells that control muscle movement. Hawking eventually became unable to move except for his fingers, and in the early 1980s he also lost the ability to speak, for this reason he had to communicate with the aid of a talking computer.

Nonetheless, he was able to form a family (he married twice, and has three children from his first marriage) and succeeded professionally. His theories of black holes and his search for a grand unification theory, which would link the theories of relativity with those of quantum mechanics, have propelled him into the scientific ranks of Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. But, it was in 1988 whe he attracted public interest with his book “A Brief History of Time”.

  22. ’The Theory of Everything’, a British film produced in 2014 by James Marsh and which won a Golden Globe Award, is one of my favourite films. It is based on an autobiography called ‘’Travelling to Infinity’’ by Jane Hawking. It narrates her life with her first husband the famous theoretical physicist, Stephen Hawking.

They married when they were undergraduates at Oxford University and Stephen Hawking had recently been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He was given only two years to live. Stephen, however, went on to become a professor at Cambridge University and a world famous scientist, specialising in black holes, quantum mechanics and cosmology. He lived until he was 76 years old.

He had a unique mind but his real brilliance, in my opinion, was his capacity to communicate difficult concepts in a simple language for ordinary people. This led to his book ‘’A Brief History of Time’’ becoming a best seller. It was even more of an achievement, given that he had huge difficulties in communicating physically.

Jane was married to him for thirty years. Together they had to face great challenges because of Stephen’s illness. Jane’s part in his triumphs was often obscured by Stephen’s fame. The film, ‘’The Theory of Everything’’ shows how important Jane was to Stephen’s life and his recognition. At last, her role in his life has come to light

  26. In the last month, a well-known person said goodbye to the world. Of course, I'm talking about Stephen Hawkings, the British physics who explained the universe from a wheelchair and that brought over stars to millions of people all over the world.

To begin with, Hawkings was an ordinary student at St Alban's, Londres. Then, he studied at Oxford University and finally, at Cambridge University, where he finished his postgraduate studies in the field of cosmology. At the age of 21, he was diagnosed with Ela, and doctors only gave him 2 more years. Apart from that, he got married to Jane and some years later, with his nurse.

What about his death? Stephen died at the same age as Einstein, 76 years old. What's more, he died the same day Einstein did, 14th March, an approximation of the pi number. Not only that but also he was born the 300 anniversary day of Galileo's death.

Taking all into account, this man who was in the public eye owing to his studies, achieved the understanding of the universe. He was a challenging and overcoming person, he wasn't afraid of death, he was in no hurry to die.

At the time of his death he was director of research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge and also was the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the same university between 1979 and 2009. Indeed, he died on Pi Day. It is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant "π" . Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three significant digits of π.

He was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 1963 at the age of 21. Doctors expected him to live for only two more years. But Hawkings had a form of the disease that progressed more slowly than usual. He survived for more than a half a century. Despite this, he once estimated he studied 1,000 hours during his three undergraduate years at Oxford. He said taht those who live in the shadow of death are often those who live most. He declared that his goal was simple. It was a complete understanding of the universe, whuy it was as it was and why it existed at all. It was A Brief History of Time that rocketed Hawking to stardom in 1988. It sold 10m copies and was translated into 40 different languages.

When Hawking was a graduate student at Cambridge, his relationship with Jane Wilde, his college sweetheart, in spite of his motor-neurone disease, continued to develop. The young couple engaged and the two married on 1965. The first son, called Robert, was born on 1967, Lucy in 1970 and a third child, Timothy, who was born on 1979. The couple finally divorced. Afther this, Hawking married one of his nurses but they divorced in 2006. Last summer I saw The Theory of Everything. It is a film which was released in 2014 and it is based in Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking. Actually, I really love it. Besides, the film received positive reviews, with praise for the musical score, cinematography and the perfomance of Felicity Jones and specially Eddie Redmayne.

Summing up, I think that Stephen Hawking was an unique brain and also an example of overcoming since in spite of all the difficulties he had in his life he never gave up and he has been considered one of the most intelligen person in the world. He was even known at school as Einstein. I also considered that he has made great contributions to the world of Science, so that he will always be remembered.

  29. Stephen Hawking was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author, and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge. Hawking was the first to set out a theory of cosmology explained by a union of the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. He was a vigorous supporter of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.

  31. Stephen Hawking was born on 8th January, 1942 and he died on 14th March, 2018. He was a theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and British scientific popularizer. He was one of the most intelligent people of our days and he has contributed a lot to science. He worked in the relativity field, and he was studying the black holes. He wrote a book in 1993, called "Black holes and small universes and other essays", where he wrotte about his theories about black holes and the space. I think that Stephen Hawking is an amazing person, because even having an illness that didn´t let him move or talk, he worked hard to find other ways to do what he wanted, he used a voice synthesizer to talk and he continued investigating in his area not letting his illness afectt his work. I think he is a model to follow, and that we should learn more about his way of life.

  34. Stephen Hawing was one of the most important people in our world. He studied science when he was at university and he also studied cosmology. He was a very clever person and he had a good life with his beautiful wife called Jane.

He was twenty-one when doctors diagnosed him a very bad disease called Lateral Sclerosis.
Doctors said that Stephen wouldn't live more than two years. He had three children with his wife and they where happy together.

Stephen Hawking died on 14th March, 2018. He was 76 years old when he left our world. He was very lucky because he lived fifty three years more than the doctors had told him. He was a lucky man and he worked very hard in spite of his disease. He couldn't talk or even move. He talked by means of a computer that was connected with his brain and the computer said everything that Stephen thought. As well, he had to use a wheelchair to move around.

Stephen Hawking was one of the best cosmologist that had ever existed. He always said a very famous phrase:
Where there is life, there is hope. Nice job Stephen. Rest in peace.

His scientific works included singularity theorems in the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes. It probably be his more popular theory. He talk of the alien's life, he say lot of times that he belive in the aliens.

A few months ago the modern scientific discovered water in Mars, so the theory of Stephen could be true. Personally I have panic to the aliens.

I think that the people who are incredible intelligent normally are bizarre, the don't have the same feelings that a normal person because they see the world different. I think that the people who are incredible intelligent.

  36. Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, and died on March 14, 2018. Stephen was a British theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and science communicator.

Despite his physical disabilities and the limitations imposed by his degenerative disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Stephen Hawking is probably the most famous physicist since Einstein’s time.

Among his scientific works, we must highlight the singularity theorems in the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction of black holes. It’s probably one of the most popular theories.

In conclusion, I think people who are very smart are very strange, because they don’t have the same feelings as a normal person.
