BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Unbearable conditions at our schools

Can teachers really teach and can our students really learn in these weather conditions? Some politicians think we can from their air-conditioned offices!!!!

We should all be really happy!!!!

The school year has come to an end and I am really happy!!!

Why? Because some of our 1º Bachillerato students obtained excellent results at the Official Language School in Motril:

B1 in French: María Béjar, Mª José García, Joaquín García and Andrea Gutiérrez.

B2 in English: Alex Expaña & Andrea Gutiérrez almost got it. They just failed one part, which I'm sure they will pass in September.

And here's our SUMMER SCOREBOARD (click on it and you will see it), where we will be compiling all the comments, projects or anything our students do during the summer time.

I don't know if happiness is genetic or not, but something is for sure there are some people that are naturally more cheerful than others. As well, babies tend to be happier than adults (probably due to all the problems and concerns that we have in mind). Another interesting fact is that grandparents also tend to be happier than parents. It may be due to the fact that they have fewer responsabilities in life.

Read these related articles and to the listening exercise later, and then give me your opinion about the issue:

Born to succeed!!!

These girls were really born to succeed!!!! SPAIN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NATIONAL TEAM are the European champions once again.

Before talking about some of our students in 1º ESO, who are really born to succeed (hopefully!!!), let's some electrical devices which seem to be built to fail (listening exercise, 6 Minute English, BBC Learning English).

Some articles about being born to succeed for you to read:

On the contrary, some electrical devices, especially electrical appliances, seem to be built to fail (some interesting vocabulary to bear in mind: planned obsolescence, faulty goods...)

And now that you know the difference, let's watch some video sketches made by our students in 1º ESO:
