BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. David Robert Jones was born on 8th of January in 1947 and died on 10th of January in 2016, because he had cancer. His nickname was David Bowie. He was considered by critics and other musician as an innovator. He made hard rock, heavy metal, soul, psychedelic folk and pop music.

He made a lot of good studio albums such as ‘Heroes’ or ‘Never let me down’. He also made very good songs like ‘Let’s dance’ and ‘Heroes’.

I have never heard him before his dead, but I like his songs and I will listen a lot of times his songs. It is a pity that I have known him when he has died, but there a lot of famous people who had gone through it.

I hope in the future there are more people like him.

  2. David Bowie has been one of the greatest character in the rock's history. He was an performer and composer, but he was also the key piece to relaunch essential names in rock, such as Lou Reed and Iggy Pop and the Stooges.

David was born in January in Brixton (England) and he died the past 10 January. His first musical taste was jazz, he also studied saxophone when he was younger. He was a member of many groups in the first half of the 60s, like The Konrads, The Hooker Brothers, The King Bees, The Manish Boys and The Lower Third.

He changed his surname bacause there was another actor and singer called David Jones. He changed from Jones to Bowie. He debuted with “Can’t help thinking about me”. He had a lot of musical styles. His explosion like a musical superstar was in 1972. Bowie went down in history as the artist identified with the genre.

His only son is Zowie Bowie. His birth inspired his father to write the song "Kook" included on his album Hunky Dory. He followed a bit his mother's way. She was a model, an actress and a musician. He is a British film director and he has won BAFTA award once.

I don't like much his music, but that is because I like other types of music. I reckon he is an important person to the history and he has some great songs.

  9. David Robert Jones, better known by his stage name David Bowie, was a British musician and composer of pop and rock, who also worked as an actor, record producer and arranger. An important figure of popular music for almost five decades, Bowie is considered an innovator, particularly for his works of the 1970s and for his peculiar voice, as well as the intellectual depth of his work.

Born in Brixton, South London, Bowie showed great interest in music in his childhood, finally studying art, music and design before embarking on his professional career as a musician in 1963. Despite having released an album (David Bowie ) and several singles before, Bowie gained notoriety in July of 1969, when its simple "Space Oddity" reached the top 5 of the British list of singles.

  10. David Robert Jones, better known as David Bowie, was a musician and a composer of rock music. He also worked as an actor, producer and graphic designer. He was born in Brixton, England, on the 8th of January of 1947 and since he was a child he has been really interested in music.

David Bowie started singing at the age of 15 as a member of a band. He left school and he joined and left different bands. At the beginning he chose Davy Jones as an artistic name, but he changed it to David Bowie because his first name could be confused with a member of The Monkees. He chose David Bowie in honour of Jim Bowie who created a knife named Bowie Knife.

The first years were difficult. Bowie didn't sell many albums but, in the 1970s, he became really famous and he achieved many number 1. He started singing alone and in the 1990s he joined a band. He continued performing and singing until 2013. Sadly, he died in 2016, only two days after his birthday, because of a cancer.
