BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  3. A lot of people drives their cars or their motorcycles smoking.
Smoke is an addiction, the person who smokes when is driving pays more attention at the pleasure of smoking before look in case that a child cross over the street. Smoke when you are driving is the same as taking the mobile phone or put a direction on the GPS.

Most of the traffic accidents are produced by smokers, or by people who is taking the mobile phone.
If you smoke when you are driving, you will gamble your life. You distract looking for the cigarette lighter, smoke also blind your eyes....

Snuff smoke is 11 times more toxic than in the pubs, and 23 times more than at home. A newspaper says that 430.000 British children are passive smokers every week in their father's cars.

I think so too. From my point of view, I am agree with the new law thar bars smoke inside cars.

  6. In the UK, there are about 10000 million adult smokers and most of them also smoke while they're driving, although children go.
I reckon it's a great idea this new law of England and Wales of not smoking in cars with children. In my opinion there should be a similar law in Spain.
Drivers and passengers that break the law could face a fine of £50.
Because of the fathers who smoke in cars, children become passive smokers, and they might have asthma, meningitis, etc.
I think it's also good that the law says that it's banned smoke even if the windows are down, because smoke can stay in the air for up to two and a half hours even windows are open.
But, I'm not entirely agree with the law when it says "Whenever an under -18 is in the car, smokers will still be liable evenif the windows are down or sunroof open". I reckon if the teen that goes in the car also smokes, the driver shouldn't be fined.

But there isn't the only problem, lots of people dies each year because of smoking and doing other activities that can you distract while you're driving. In addiction, smoking restrain the driver.

    Do you really want this?

  7. According to the British Lung Foundation, more than 430,000 children are exposed to second-hand smoke in cars each week. There are 10 million adult smokers in the UK, and one of their many consequences is that they are affecting their own kids when they smoke in their cars. As a result of this, the English and the Welsh government are to implement a new law which will ban smoking in cars carrying children with a penalty fine of £50. But, is it enough? Are they conscious of the problem of smoking in cars?

On the one hand, there are still too many people who smoke in their cars that are still unaware aabout how this affects themselves and the other second-hand smokers. These are some of their many consequences: second-hand smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, some of which are known to cause cancer; smoke can stay in the air for up to two and a half hours even with a window open; smoking in a car creates a higher concentration of toxins than in a bar - some research has put it at 11 times higher; research indicates 300,000 children in the UK visit a GP each year because of the effects of second-hand smoke, with 9,500 going to hospital…

On the other hand smoking in cars is allowed, provided that they don't throw away the cigarettes on roads or highways. Without talking about how much it can affect the other passengers if someone is smoking in the car, in Spain it is one of the main reasons of having a car accident, because it is a very common distraction. I think that if they are in a jam, and they are very anxious, they could have the possibility of smoking if this "relaxes" them.

In my opinion, I would never understand why people continue smoking, especially young people, because I’ve had at least 4 or 5 lessons about the effects of smoking at school and I can't see its relaxing effects, especially when I see the trembling hands of smokers I don’t find it very relaxing. Others will say that it is cool, but I don't find it 'cool' when someone dies of cancer. But well, each one decides how he will like to die and to live.

  11. Smoking is harmful to health, not only for smokers but also to passive smokers who are around them, like adults and children living with smokers or are in places like bars, hospitals, shops and all public places .
In Spain smoking is prohibited in public spaces, now you do not smell snuff anywhere. Fewer and fewer smokers and that's good news because smoking causes cancer. Hopefully the young as I never smoke.

  12. Currently smoking has become a problem in which all people think and are more aware .
On the one hand , it's amazing that people dont think about how dangerous is to smoke every day and the number of people who die each year from cancer .
On the other hand , most smokers are accustomed to do it outside of public places where smoking is prohibited fortunately.
I reckon everything is changing and less people smoke because smoking is not only very expensive but because many people die each year from smoking in our country .

  13. Smoking in cars should be banned in all the places of the world, not only in England and Wales.

It puts in danger many people, because the driver who is smoking doesn’t pay attention at the road and it can cause an accident and other people can die through no fault of it.

Smoking in cars is dangerous for all the people who are in the car, but especially for the children, because his health is weaker than the adults. The people who doesn’t smoke, but are in the car with smokers are passive smokers, they inhale the smoke of the cigarette of the smokers and it is unhealthy.

I think that smoking at home is healthier than smoking in the car, because the house is bigger than the car and the smoke is less concentrated and the passive smokers inhale less smoke.

I agree with the law, because this way people will be surer and they won’t be passive smokers.

  14. I think we have to ban smoking in cars worldwide, not only in England and Wales. Most accidantes pass because of smoke in the car, because drivers are pending at the cigar, not the road.

The man or woman is forbidden to smoke in the car in front of children for their health, although children who do not smoke are breathing cigarette smoke and that is very bad for your health. If you want to smoke do so when there are small children.

I saw an ad on TV smoking in the car. The announcement said that a cigarette you can die and many more cases. But what is meant by this news is that smoking is bad and if you smoke in the car but because you have more chances of having a accidante.

  16. In my opinion this is a good idea, because all of us know that smoking isn’t good for our health. It is incredible when it says that smoking in a car creates a higher concentration of toxins than in a bar - some research has put it at 11 times higher, so people should be aware of what they do. But this is not the only problem, there are a lot of them, like: Smoke can stay in the air for up to two and a half hours even with a window open, second-hand smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, some of which are known to cause cáncer ,exposure to second-hand smoke has been strongly linked to chest infections, asthma, ear problems and cot death in children… And only for the passive smokers. Smokers are not conscious of all the consequences derived from smoking.
Probably people don’t want to pay the penalty of £50, and so they will give up smoking.

I can’t see the pleasure in smoking, and less when you are driving, because it may cause an accident and it is even worse when you bring children into the car. If you are doing something, pay attention to it.

  17. Smoking is very bad for your health. In the world, there are many laws that forbid smoking in public places because it can cause cancer to non-smokers. In Spain, it is prohibited in public paces but not in cars.
I think that this law it is a good idea because children should not breathe the bad air of their parents.Children are very vulnerable, and they should´t be in polluted places, even in their parents' car. Also, if their parents drive and smoke at the same time, they can have a car accident because they can't see the dangers of the road.
So, I think that smoking in cars should be forbidden, also here in Spain, specially if there are little children in the cars.

  18. This article is about the prohibition of smoking inside cars. It is unhealthy for the driver and for the persons who are there.
Also smoking while driving it can be dangerous because the driver can´t pay attention to the road.
Furthermore, this custom can provoke damages in our health. The smoker is not only the person who smokes a cigarrette but the persons who are around him.
The smell is also a negative point.
A smoker doesn´t perceive the bad smell of a cigarrette or the smells of everything. He or she smells bad.
All in all I think that smoking is an unhealthy habit. It distubs everybody.

  19. On the one hand I think it's good that they've banned people from smoking in cars in front of children, since the smoke of cigarettes only brings health problems. But on the other hand I don't think it's okay that people stop you from doing things in a place, in this case inside your car. I think adults know the effects of it and there is no need for them to ban that.

  22. This new law in England and Wales ban to smoke in vehicles where children travel. For me, this new law is very sensible and good for all the people because if the driver smokes while he is driving, he doesn't pay attention to the road and he can produce an accident.

I think this law shouldn't be in England or Wales only, it should be in all the countries in the world. Smoking in cars is bad for children who are traveling in the car because it's bad for their health. Children are unconsciously smoking the driver' smoke and this is bad for their lungs.

I think people should smoke only in open spaces and away from children, it's more healthier for the children and for the people around them.

  24. Tobacco is dangerous to your health. There are no safe substances in any tobacco products, from acetone and tar to nicotine and carbon monoxide. The substances you inhale don’t just affect your lungs. They can affect your entire body. Smoking can increase your risk of a variety of problems over several years.
My parents smoke cigarettes for about 25 years, but when they saw how the nicotine affect to their bodys they stop to smoke and now they are healthier.

  25. Today, we are more aware of how bad tobacco is for our health. In most public places smoking is prohibited or there are restrictions, and tobacco companies can no longer advertise on television, radio and in many magazines.

Almost everyone knows that smoking causes cancer, emphysema and heart disease; that can shorten life by 10 years or more, and that a smoker can spend thousands of dollars a year on tobacco. So why do people keep smoking? The answer is simple: it is an addiction.

Smoking is a difficult habit to quit because tobacco contains nicotine, which is highly addictive. As with heroin or other addictive drugs, the body and the mind get used so quickly to the nicotine of cigarettes that the person needs them to feel normal.

People start smoking for a variety of reasons. Some think it looks great. Others start because their relatives or friends smoke. Statistics show that approximately 9 out of 10 smokers begin before age 18. Most adults who started smoking in their teens never thought they would become addicted. This is why people say that it is much simpler not to start smoking.

  27. Today, many people are smokers and even 16 or 17- year- old children smoke . Tabacco is a very bad substance for our health because it contains nicotine , which is addictive . For that reason when a person smokes , he or she doen´t stop and they need it to feel good .

In the United Kingdom there is a new law which bans smoking in cars when there are children passengers. The new rules apply to any driver in any enclosed car when a child under the age of 18 is on board. If the driver smokes in the car , he has to pay a fine of 50 pounds .

You know that tabacco smoke can stay in the air for more than two hours ? Even with a window open . Smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals and it can produce many different illnesses like cancer , bronchitis.

I think that today people shouldn´t smoke because they know the risks perfectly and I can´t understand why the markets sell this .

  28. Today in day there are many people who smoke and more and more children between 13 and 18 years old. Tobacco is very bad for your health as it can cause cancer, respiratory problems, infections, etc. How not to talk about those people who smoke almost a packet a day, which is already too bad, there are also people who pass the cigarette from one to another, which is very bad because if someone is sick they can stick it to the another person.
There are also the cases of passive smokers, which are people who do not smoke but because they have a smoker at home and they smoke in front of them and they smoke which they then breathe into their body.
Tobacco is a problem when driving because there are people who while driving take a cigarette from the pack or smoke it, a fact that can lead to an accident since they are not focused on the road and the reaction time is very short.

For me I see very well that you can not smoke in cars and less when you have children behind.

  29. Today most people smoke, and this is bad for your health as it causes many things like heart disease,
lung disease, cerebrovascular accidents, many types of cancer, including lung, throat, stomach, and bladder.
All people who smoke do it out of habit, there are people who manage to quit tobacco but there are other people who are not capable and go to the doctor, I have seen many people who cannot stop smoking put a stick in their mouth that they like the function of the cigarette, at first when I saw it I thought it was silly but then I realized that it usually works for these people.

There is a classification of smokers and they are light, moderate and severe smokers, light smokers consume less than 5 cigarettes a day.
Moderate smokers: they smoke an average of 6 to 15 cigarettes a day.
Severe smokers: they smoke more than 16 cigarettes a day.

There are children who start smoking from a young age but start smoking because they fit into a group, that's what I mean today there are children who think that if you don't drink or smoke you don't fit in with others and I see this as bad because if you You do not like to drink or smoke, you do not have to do it to fit in with others, also that is bad for your health and you will not harm your health by fitting in with others.

  31. Nowadays, most of the people have some type of addiction. There are a lot of people who smoke, and they do it daily as something normal. We see it as something normal, because it is weird when we go walking on the street and we don't see anyone smoking.

Just as drinking alcohol, tobacco harms our health. Neither of them are good for us, however many people continue consuming them. Every day, people start to consume them younger and younger, to the point of seeing teenagers of 13 or 14 years old smoking. Not only them, but also old people who should take care of themselves. It is something contradictory to smoke and look after our health. Even so, people continue doing it.

Furthermore, thinking about it, if we buy a packet of cigarettes and we consume them, we are spending our money to hurt ourselves. There are photos which appear in the packets warning us of the risk involved in consuming it. Nevertheless, most of the illnesses related to it ,they do not appear because we are already supposed to know about them.Especially, sickness related to lungs, for instance pneumonia and asthma. But there are many more problems.

To sum up, I think that staying healthy is something very important in our daily lives. People should be aware of the risks of smoking. From my point of view it is something unnecessary that only has bad things.

    1. Actually, smoking in cars is banned, and also in the street because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The authorities can fine you, and more if you are smoking with children in your car.
I think that this security menace exists because the children are second-hand smokers and the tobacco, as everyone knows, is hazardous for ourselves.

I don’t understand why people continue smoking. It is a pity to see young people, like 14 or 15 years old, start smoking or taking drugs, destroying their own body and taking difficulties in their future live

  33. Smoking in cars is prohibited in England and Wales. In my opinion, they do well because if you are with someone in a closed place like the car, you are harming the health of the other person.

People who smoke in cars don't think about the health of others. They could wait 5 minutes to get out of the car and once outside start smoking.

I think it should also be prohibited in Spain and in all countries. I even believe that smoking should be prohibited inside any establishment or closed place.

A solution for this would be to add smoking areas where smokers go to smoke and do not harm the health of others.

  34. there are more and more adolescents who smoke tobacco and are addicted to nicotine.
This generates thousands of deaths and cancer cases per year, with nicotine being in 2nd place behind alcohol in legal products that produce the most deaths per year.

Also in adolescents lately a different way of consuming nicotine called vaping is becoming popular.
This one does not use tobacco but it has the same effects, nicotine addiction, lung cancer, tracheal tongue cancer...

In general teenagers tend to smoke to be able to make friends with people who smoke because for many of them smoking makes you cool and fun. Thus creating a social status in which adolescents who smoke are superior to others.

Nicotine addiction is one of the most difficult to stop and even more so if you are a teenager, because it will cause you symptoms of anxiety, insobnia...
The best way to stop this addiction is to talk to a professional.
