BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. Liverpool a place to visit

Liverpool is perhaps best known to younger people as the home of the pop group The Beatles, who made their name performing in the Liverpudlian pubs such as The Cavern. Other famous musicians originated from Liverpool such as Elvis Costello and the members of the band The Searches.
The population in Liverpool is truly an ethnic mixture with many Black, Chinese and Irish people. This is partly because of its history as a port. It is situated on the River Mersey, on the west coast of Britain and it played a big part in the Transatlantic trade. Much of its wealth came from the Slave Trade and you can still see traces of this trade in some of the carvings on the dock buildings.
Some famous ships were based at Liverpool´s port, such as the Titanic and there is a fabulous Maritime Museum at Liverpool’s old docks. It is well worth visiting.
I was there earlier this year, in March and I really enjoyed it. I recommend a visit.

  2. Chester : A interesting place to visit.
Chester is an interesting and beautiful city. It is on a site which used to be a Roman Fort and it is where four main roads used to meet. These roads still exist today and they are called Eastgate, Northgate, Watergate and Bridgegate.
Chester is a walled city and a large part still exists and in good condition. It is on the river Dee and has a canal which played an important part in the Industrial Revolution. The narrow boats from the canals which carried materials such as coal, slate and lead could enter the River Dee and load their cargoes onto seagoing ships. This made it an important town for commerce and brought financial prosperity there.
Daniel Craig, the actor who plays James Bond 007,was born in Chester and his parents live in a town nearby, but I didn’t see him when I was there. Nevertheless It is still an interesting place to visit
